SLP Nerdcast is a podcast for ASHA CEUs, and was created in 2020 to break barriers in the SLP continuing education market. SLP Nerdcast reaches thousands of SLPs monthly with over 700k downloads and over 10,000 users.
SLP Nerdcast was founded by Kate Grandbois and Amy Wonkka.
The SLP Nerdcast Story
Co-founded with my friend and co-host, Amy Wonkka, SLP Nerdcast grew out of a frustration of a static CEU industry that was in desperate need of a change. Launched right before the pandemic, SLP Nerdcast focuses on publishing open access information, charging only for certificates of completion or ASHA CE Processing. Open access information is not only critical for closing the research practice gap; this model disrupted an industry that was built on paywalls. SLP Nerdcast was the first podcast to become an ASHA CE Provider on it’s own, and quickly became a leading resource for evidence based practices, as evidenced by reaching 100k downloads in it’s first six months of existence.
