Better care means better business.

Even the strongest clinical programs can struggle when staff turnover is high, teams aren't aligned, resources are stretched, teams have gaps in their knowledge, or evidence-based practices are difficult to put into place.

I work with small businesses and leaders to understand what's getting in the way, and develop practical strategies to improve care, provide training, consult through a change, and make better use of the resources they already have.

Good clinical care comes from the whole system working together

The research is clear: culture, leadership, and resources make a big difference.

Years of research on organizational context all point to one thing: the quality of care your organization provides is influenced by much more than your clinicians.

Staffing. Workflows. Leadership. Culture. Communication. Productivity expectations. Budgets. Policies. Training. The systems clinicians work within every day have a big impact on your bottom line and the care that patients receive.

When those pieces don't work together, the effects can show up everywhere: frustrated teams, high staff turnover, poor coordination of care, unnecessary spending, or difficulty putting best practices into place.

I help organizations look at the whole picture, identify what's getting in the way, and determine what needs to change.

Drawing on 15 years of business experience, 20+ years of clinical experience, doctoral work in implementation, and business school, I work with small businesses to improve culture, practice, and bottom lines.

What’s included in consultation:

1. Initial Consultation

Our process starts with a conversation. The goal is to learn more about your needs, concerns, and the business problems you are hoping to solve. If my expertise is a good fit for your needs, we will work together to dig deeper, analyzing metrics, KPIs, and feedback in a diagnostic process to pinpoint reasonable, actionable areas for change.

2. Readiness for Change

Change efforts are most successful when systems are ready for the change. This means that teams, leaders, and individual staff members feel the change is relevant, doable, and supported. We will work together through an assessment process to determine readiness, and make a plan to ensure future changes are actually adopted.

3. Implementation

Once diagnostics have been completed, change targets have been identified, and barriers to change have been removed, we will work together on implementing strategies for improvement. This is an ongoing process that involves data monitoring, revision, and continued improvement. We will work together until your goals are in sight.
