Consulting Services

*Due to licensing restrictions I only provide consultation to families located Massachusetts. If you do not live in Massachusetts traveling to Massachusetts will be required. If you live in Massachusetts in-person services are offered in Concord MA or virtual services can be arranged. I do not accept insurance for consulting or clinical services. If you would like to access insurance or are looking for direct speech therapy services, please visit us at our clinic, GTC Therapy.

When therapy is complicated you don’t have to go it alone.

When multiple providers, recommendations, diagnoses, or systems are involved, it can be difficult to know what to do next.

I help families and care teams step back, look at the whole picture, and develop a clear path forward, bringing together clinical expertise, current evidence, and the realities of everyday life.*

Why Consultation Matters:

People with complex needs require complex care.

Research shows us that consultative services and support in care coordination is beneficial for persons with complex disabilities, helping with improvements in team communication and improvements in skills (Daniels, et al., 2026; De Kuijper et al., 2023)*

As a parent or caregiver you may be asking:

  • Are we focusing on the right things?

  • Are these recommendations right for my child?

  • Why are different providers telling us different things?

  • How do we get everyone working toward the same goals?

  • How are we supposed to do all of this at home?

  • What should we prioritize?

  • What are we missing?

  • Therapy isn’t working - what is stalling us and what can we change?

Drawing on 20+ years of clinical experience, backgrounds in both in speech pathology and behavior analysis, and doctoral work in implementation, I can help you start to answer these questions.

What’s included in consultation:

1. Customized Assessment

Our process starts with an interview. The goal is to learn more about your needs, concerns, and the people who need support. From there we will work together to collect more information through observation (in person or remote), record review, and other formal assessment methods where applicable.

2. Plan of Care

Supporting clients, families, caregivers, and their community requires support across people and environments. After the initial assessment I will work with you to establish who needs support and where that support is needed. We will work to create a plan of care with recommendations to address these needs using a mix of options:

  • Parent Coaching: It may be beneficial to work with a therapist directly to practice strategies and supports. A goal for parent coaching is to help parents and caregivers feel confident and competent supporting communication at home and during transitions. I do not provide direct, routine parent coaching but be available through a licensed professional under my supervision.

  • Team Training: It may be helpful to collaborate with educators, dayhab staff, residential staff, job coaches, other support staff, and program teams to build a shared understanding of communication needs for the individual. Supporting the people on your child’s team is a critical piece of preventing gaps in communication support during transitions. I am available to provide team trainings both in person and remotely.

  • Ongoing Consultation: Consultative services are often the key to bridging gaps in care. After the initial evaluation and any recommended trainings, it may be beneficial to meet regularly with all relevant team members to ensure consistency of communication supports and progress towards identified goals. These meetings can take place in person or via telehealth. In most instances parents and primary care-partners play the role of liason and point person throughout consultation.

  • Traditional / Hybrid Speech Therapy: I do not provide direct, ongoing speech therapy, however I can support you in finding a therapist that meets your child’s needs and work with them in a consultative capacity. I can also work directly with your primary speech therapist to provide consultation, coaching, and direction in your child’s care.
